First and foremost I am an animal lover. Any time I can spend with animals is a blessing. Animals reduce stress and can be instrumental to a happy life. Volunteering at a rescue or shelter has always been able to take my mind from overwhelmed to compassion, and volunteering has been proven to be the number one way to feel better about oneself.
I try to take care of as many animals as I possibly can as long as we are able to fit in the bed at the end of the day :)
My history, much like everyone else, is comprised of trauma, loss, addiction, devastation and mental illness, as well as joy, recovery, healthy relationships and personal discovery and growth.
These things do not define me but enhance my experiences with life and my ability to be of service to others. I have felt emotions and have been able to walk through them all...with help and support.
