Certified Divorce Coach®️

What is a Certified Divorce Coach®️

During my years as a Clinical Forensic Psychologist I began to notice that women clinical clients that where going through divorce were being greatly underserved.

They would consult a mental health professional to manage their emotions while their marriage, family, and oftentimes children, began to split up.

I watched as their choice to reach out to such a professional would sometimes work against them in custody decisions.

Not only that, but these women were suddenly thrust into an unfamiliar world of attorneys, paperwork, custody, and courts… often with very little preparation and know how to navigate it all.

I decided to become a Certified Divorce Coach to serve this need for my clients’ so they could feel supported, manage all the logistics while feeling in control, organize the seemingly endless paperwork and rebuild their life as the person they want to be.

Working with a Divorce Coach is a trend that’s continuing to increase year after year. Many attorneys encourage their clients to hire one because we can help in ways that neither an attorney or a clinician can!

It is important to look for the Certified Divorce Coach®️ Emblem. We have earned a certificate with the ICF  International Coach Federation, which includes rigorous training and ongoing support and education to help us stay current to best serve you.

Feeling Emotions *

We experience feelings in life and are most likely going to have feelings about divorce.

It is good that feelings come up. Even if they come up every session. It is OK to shed the tears, experience the emotion and then continue with a productive coaching session.

The coaching session may be the only place to express ourselves, and where we can shed some tears. This a safe place to let it out.

As a Coach I can just be with you with the experience of the emotions. The feelings validate how we feel and we have every right to feel this way – divorce can sometimes overwhelming..
